Temporary housing
Our crisis housing service is available to individuals over 18 years of age who require a place other than their usual environment to take a step back and assess their situation. An evaluation is required prior to all admissions to the Crisis Center. Contact with staff is accessible and welcoming.
Housing is typically provided for a maximum stay of one week. The person's motivation and implication in their intervention plan is taken into consideration. The atmosphere at the Center is calm and pleasant and encourages reflexion. The Crisis Center can accommodate 8 persons in 6 private rooms and 1 shared room. Supervision is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by a team of crisis intervention workers. The person is invited to share certain moments of the day with other residents.
A daily meeting is held between the resident and his or her designated case worker. This provides the person with the opportunity to discuss their situation and establish realistic objectives for their stay.
